Building Blocks Learning Center at Westcreek Plaza will soon be entering its third year of service in Coconut Creek and it has been our honor and pleasure to serve this excellent community.
As always, we strive to improve on both quality and service. In an effort to better assist our parents, we have engaged in a lengthy re-vamping of our operating system in order to accept debit and credit card payments. The process has taken a little longer than anticipated. This is due to the complex re-wiring required for our database, time clock, security entry system, and childcare software to work simultaneously and integrated. We hope to complete this process shortly.
What you can expect after the work is completed is a new and improved method of paying and of tracking your child’s records and progress. We will now have photo capabilities to help insure that only authorized people are entering and exiting the building or collecting students at all times. We can now upload your photos or photos persons you have authorized in the event of an emergency to collect your child into your child’s file. As they enter your child’s code their picture will become available on our screen alerting the office attendant or Director that this person is in fact authorized to be on the premises. Why is this important? Over the years it has been our experience that “grandma” who always picks up Billy when mom is busy came this one time and forgot her ID. Lisa the Director was out sick and the office attendant did not recognize “grandma.” You get the picture!
About Swine Flu – Please be patient with us, if we ask you to collect your child because he or she is sneezing, coughing, or running a temperature please know it is for the safety of your child and the rest of the students and staff as well. What you can do to help is to teach your child to sneeze and cough into their sleeve and not on others. Wash hands regularly and monitor any changes in your child’s health. Also, visit the CDC website for updated information.
